Dear Dr. Tuchman & Lisa,
What a great presentation! On behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association, I want to say THANK YOU for taking the time to travel to Stuart. The feedback was terrific (there were very few brochures left, and no pens left.)

Dr. Giuliani is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. She earned her doctoral degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and completed her residency and post-doctoral training at Yale University School of Medicine. Upon completing her training, Dr. Giuliani joined the clinical faculty at Yale as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery where she worked until relocating to Florida in 2006. Dr. Giuliani has specialized training in a number of neurological disorders, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders and dementia. Her current area of interest focuses primarily on the diagnosis and management of Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia. She conducts comprehensive neuropsychological examinations to evaluate patients’ cognitive abilities. This assessment is an important part of understanding whether a person’s forgetfulness is associated with “normal aging” or may reflect a more serious condition, such as Alzheimer’s Disease. Early and accurate diagnosis is important because research suggests the best time to treat dementia is early in the course of the disease process. Neuropsychological evaluations are also used to monitor the progression of symptoms over time and to evaluate whether treatment interventions are effective.
The U.S. News Top Doctors listing was “developed in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., publisher of America’s Top Doctors and other guides, and was built upon data from Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors. ” “Top Doctors are identified by location and by hospital affiliation, across a wide range of specialties and sub-specialties and for over 2,000 diseases, medical issues, and procedures.” Castle Connolly bases its Top Doctors selections on nominations submitted by other doctors and reviewed by its physician-led research team.” Read more about the Nomination Process.
The goals of the U.S. News Top Doctors project are twofold.
- to help consumers find the doctors who can best address their needs;
- to enlist doctors across the country to share their awareness of who among their peers are the most worthy of referral.
Any licensed doctor can nominate their peers. However, physicians cannot apply or nominate themselves. Physicians cannot pay to be nominated or selected nor can their employers (hospitals and/or group practices) nominate them.
U.S. News, in partnership with Castle Connolly, will continue to expand their Top Doctors designations as they receive additional nominations from doctors’ peers.
